[ CUSTOM HEP ]
Let's talk about HEPs
What's an HEP?
HEP stand for home exercise program. All that means is a specific program tailored to you, your issues, your deficits, and your goals.
It's a crucial key to making your physical therapy work.
On average, I see my patients once a week (sometimes 2x) over their plan of care.
And during an average week, you're only going to be in my clinic at most 2 hours. The other 166 hours you're on your own. Doing your own thing.
I can help you (hopefully A LOT) during your time with me. But the other 166 hours, you need to work on your own. You need to work on becoming self sufficient in your training, and HEP.
Today's post is another example of a custom HEP I made for one of my online clients who has been having some upper extremity nerve pain, low back pain, neck pain, knee pain.
These are some movements I outlined for him to do in the initial phases to help with symptom mitigation, and progression towards long term strength training as that is his (and usually my own bias) goal.
