You really do learn something new every day. At Irene & Olis wedding I learned that this little sign is a heart and sign for love 💕
This is one of the things I love about photographing weddings. Working with couples from all over the UK and all over the world. Often with different heritage and traditions. Everyone brings something of themselves and their background to their wedding day....and it’s a wonderful thing.
Quite a few of my brides this year have done speeches and I love it. I appreciate standing up and saying a few words isn’t for everyone, but if you are a bride to be and want to say something on your wedding day, do it. You don’t have to stick to the traditions...make your own.
Sarah’s speech was brilliant, as you can see by the reactions of her friends and her husband, Andy.

There’s nothing more nerve wracking than taking photos for another photographer! It helps that jesse is my associate photographer and second shooter, and that I have known her for years. But it’s still it’s a bit scary!
When she asked if I would do some family photos for her I couldn’t say no. I feel like I know her family after hearing all about them. It was so nice to finally put faces to the names.
We had a cloudy, dull and rainy day for the shoot but everyone stuck their rain coats on and we went out anyway.
“The photos are absolutely beautiful they took my breath away!! Considering nick doesn’t like having his photo taken he loves them too! Thank you so much, we truly will treasure them forever! Love Jac and nick Xxxxx”
Last week I headed down to West Wittering beach to meet up with Jaclyn & Nick for their engagement shoot. We totally lucked out with amazing weather and a nearly deserted beach.
These two are so much fun to spend time with and they are clearly crazy about each other. I really cannot wait for their wedding next month.
I love this image of Nancy, walking down the stairs at her parents house, all ready to get married.
Nancy & Jonathan live in London but returned to Nancy’s home town of Lancaster to get married. I’m from the NW originally too, so it was wonderful to travel back to capture this gorgeous wedding.
