Took the kids to the Oakland zoo today. We spent a good deal of time at the new playground just playing together. One of my focuses for 2019 is trying to be more present with my girls. I love that my coaching business allows me to do things like buy a zoo membership! Work hard to play hard, right?

That’s how much I made this past week with my side hustle.
To some it may seem insignificant but to me it represents so much more than a dollar amount.
It represents lives being changed including my own.
I never started my side coaching business to earn an income.
I started to inspire others and continue on my own journey.
I believe in the programs I use and the company I work for whole heartedly. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t be here. .
I was always taught to never discuss money.
Truthfully, it bothers me to share, but I remember when I was sitting on the fence about becoming a coach I saw someone make a post like this.
I thought, “wow, it’d be so nice to have that extra cash in my account. It could really give us some relief or we could do some together with our family”
I had no idea!

Feeding off earlier’s post - I don't encourage counting macros or calories but I DO encourage my clients to get familiar with eyeing portion sizes so they know just what a portion should look like!
More often than not we tend to overeat simply because we aren't aware! Now this is just a general guide and obviously the sizes of people hands and individual portion sizes will vary but I think it's a great quick little alternative to a scale or measuring cups!

Let me introduce you to one hard working student/athlete!! @cait_lin3 just qualified for the Mission Viejo Senior Challenge Swim Meet!! There are only 6 swimmers per region that qualify for this BIG meet and Caitlin has qualified to represent the Eastern Region in the 50m, 100m, 200m, AND 500m Freestyle! You want to talk about hard work and effort...let’s talk about how Caitlin, the A student, goes to school all day where she has several advanced classes, comes to the gym 4 days out of the week for 1-1.5 hours, goes to swim practice 5 days a week for 2 hours, then home for homework and sleep.
For swim meets, she listens and dials in her nutrition and fluids and yes, she is only 16 and has incredible dedication...helps that her Mom and Dad support her efforts💪💪 If you want to know what it takes to accomplish big things...start by committing to one thing and build from there. She has been consistent with this workout schedule since last June AND consistency is what it takes. And a little help from @adidas for the trainer of course...Adidas we need some bigger shoe sizes for tall women💪💪
