🍷 March Wine Flight.🍷 •
Where did the month go? 🤷🏻♂️ There is still time to enjoy the wine flight of the month. We have a great lineup for you to taste. Our expert wine staff looks forward to walking you through your tasting!
2015 CS Mourvedre (Released Jan.)
Our 2015 Mourvedre offers sweet black cherry and blackberry flavors complemented by hints of earthy tobacco, leather and violet. Blended with a small amount of Carignane and Syrah for added complexity, this well-balanced wine was aged in small French oak barrels for 20 months, allowing the tannins to soften and creating a velvet-like texture. Enjoy today, and in the years to come, and create lasting memories and inspiring dreams along the way.
2014 Meritage •
Our 2014 Meritage is beautifully balanced, with aromas and flavors of blackberry and plum complementing subtle hints of vanilla, black licorice and clove. Aged for 24 months in small French and American oak barrels, this blend of 50% Merlot, 37% Cabernet Franc, 8% Petit Verdot, 3% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Malbec offers soft tannins leading into a rich, velvety finish. •
2015 CS Cabernet Sauvignon (NEW Release March)
Our 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is bursting with blackberry and black currant fruit layered with subtle notes of vanilla, black licorice and sweet oak. Aged for 21 months in small French and American oak barrels, this blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Cabernet Franc, 6% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot is well-balanced and elegant, with a soft and lingering finish.
2014 CS Compilation (Released Feb.)
Bottled especially for our Wine Club members, this unique blend of Zinfandel, Sryah, Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Petit Sirah is a "compilation" of many of the key varietals produced at Leoness Cellars, uniting them into one harmonious blend. Rich, decadent fruit flavors are layered with black licorice, vanilla and spice aromas to create a wine with great balance, structure and depth.

Hermitage is truly a special place. Not only is it breath-taking but you can feel the community around it and the work that is put in every parcel, every step, and every vine on the hill. It is the first place the sun reach in the morning and the last place it leaves. We stayed on top of hermitage waiting for the sunset but had to wait forever since the sun and heat kept on forever.
Hermitage is the only place in the world where the four geological ages are visible from afar starting with granite from the primary time. This offers a diversity of terroir in a very limited space that is unique and can’t be found anywhere else. Even with the Prestige of the region and it being the birthplace of the very fashionable syrah, some producers are confessing having trouble selling hermitage wines. It’s hard to pinpoint the reason; it may be from lack of modernism or impactful marketing, from how emerging and very dynamic Côte-Rotie has become lately or from the ever growing international market. Hermitage is still and will stay a special iconic place representing the heart of northern Rhône but there will be place for other region to shine like Saint-Joseph with its incredible age worthy whites.
