I was meant to do difficult things. I was meant to step out of “average” and do things that many won’t do. I was meant to challenge myself. I was meant to do shit that scares me. I was meant to do all of it to show you guys it can be done.
There are no excuses to live an average life (unless that’s what you want).
I think...EFFFFF average. Screw normal. “Normal” is for people who care too much about the opinion of others.
I’ve always been drawn to do things that are not “mainstream”. In high school, all of my friends were cheerleaders. While they were at cheer practice, I took karate and Taekwondo and lifted weights with my Dad. 😂
I’m drawn to do stuff that scares me but I know will help me grow. Especially if not a lot of people do it. I was attracted to compete in bodybuilding years ago because it was not popular. Now it is. But hell, I still want to do it because it’s difficult.
Difficult is kinda my thing.
This pic was last summer before USAs and I’m going to compete again April 13th in Salt Lake City @saltcityshowdown. My head is in the right place. Follow me to watch my prep— no drugs, no SARMS, no “fat burners”. Just WORK. #dowork#tbt
REAL TALK. Transformation photos can be very inspiring and motivating but what you don’t see in those photos is probably the most important part of all- the inbetween.
I have not always been “fit” or whatever, in fact majority of my life I haven’t been. I’ve worked hard through the years and continue to. What you don’t see is all the times I made it through life’s struggles and continued to make my health a priority in the end. The reason I have seen results is because I never gave up. Even during times where progress was little to none, slower than normal, or not as visible to the eye- I DID NOT GIVE UP. I’ve fallen off track for other mental reasons(life knocks ya down sometimes: fall down 7 times, stand up 8), it happens, but NOT because I gave up, didn’t see progress or thought it wasn’t worth it.
The reason I didn’t give up? I know that even if progress is happening extremely slow or barley at all, if I gave up there would be NO progress, or going back to my old lifestyle I was not happy with. Even more importantly, I didn’t give up because of my health. “After photos” set aside, your health is with you forever, and when you put effort into taking care of yourself both physically and mentally it ultimately contributes to your overall happiness. And when you’re happy you can then give your best self to this world! Choose to not give up because YOU DESERVE THAT! It’s not about perfect, it’s about EFFORT, and when you bring that effort every day- that’s where transformation happens and that’s how a lifestyle is built. Effort will manifest habits!
There will always be struggles(life and fitness), whether you choose to give up or not because that’s life. I can promise you that pushing through the challenges will only further build strength both physically and mentally! A negative mind will never give you a positive life. That goes for all aspects of life, not just in fitness. A positive mindset isn’t something we just wake up with everyday, it’s something we have to put effort towards daily! Do not give up because you love yourself! NEVER STOP FIGHTING for what you want!! #BelieveInYourself
