I took this picture in London last week and my immediate reaction was to press the delete button. Why? Insecurities. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We all have them. Even the most ‘confident’ have them. For as long as I can remember my nose/side portrait has always been my biggest one. I would refuse to take pictures from my ‘bad side’ and honestly considered getting a nose job at one point because I was convinced it was too big. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Since starting my bulk, quite naturally I’ve gained some fat in my back. I didn’t realise at the time of taking the photo, but the position I’m in does a great job at showing that. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
SO WHY THE HECK AM I POSTING THIS?! 😅 ... to show you that if I can accept my insecurities then so can you. To show you that you shouldn’t press the delete button (or get a nose job 😅) but instead be kinder to yourself. Quite often it’s only you who notices these things anyway! So don’t wish you looked like someone else. You are YOU, a one of a kind 💗

HOW TO INSTANTLY IMPROVE YOUR WORKOUTS
How's that for a nice clickbait title? 😅 But for real, today we're talking about irradiation, which is spreading tension and contraction across your whole body, and it is a giant key to improving your performance.
✊🏻 To illustrate the concept, hold your hand out in front of you and make a fist. Now start to squeeze. Harder. A little more. Now squeeze your fist as hard as you possibly can.
You likely started to tense your bicep, tricep, and shoulder. That's irradiation! 🌐
This is the same effect that happens when you pull your elbows in during an RKC plank or when you squeeze the dumbbell on the last few reps of curls as you approach failure and can suddenly bust out one or two more.
It's also what we mean when we say to get the upper back tight in a squat or squeeze the bar and lats in the deadlift. We're creating full body tension for more force production.
This isn't easy though and it's why many people don't do it. You're going to find it incredibly hard at first. But practice it in all of your exericses and get it down. Crush the bar, tension the muscles, spread that contraction. Move with intent.
I'm thinking I want to talk more about this topic as many don't know how to do it. So what exercises would you like to see some irradiation demos for? Let me know! 🗣💬
