Last week I showed you guys my 12 month transformation - it looked incredibly linear in terms of my results & consistent changes, but what I couldn’t fit in was all the in between stuff. What we see is the start, and then the success. So no wonder people want overnight results yesterday. The beauty of Instagram is, I’ve been documenting every part of my health and fitness journey since the beginning. You can actually see my forward and stand still moments, my hiccups and set backs. But here’s a photo of them all together. Everything it took to get from me in September 2017 to the day before my bikini show in October.
What those photos represent - me stopping tracking my food, me doing a lot of travel earlier in 2018, my body breaking down from shingles and stress, my bulking phase where I was eating 2900 calories to build muscle, getting lean and then thinking I could eat whatever I wanted and gaining more fat back and then finally getting consistent and working toward my stage goals. Don’t let the before & afters fool you into thinking you start, you work and you get there.. whatever ‘there’ is. I know for me, I’ll be constantly changing and redefining my goals. Sometimes they will be aesthetics based, other times they will be strength based, who knows what will be next. The hiccups along the way have taught me a lot about discipline and what I truly want.. don’t hide from them. Embrace them, and know they’re not forever, pick yourself up and keep working because no one gives a shit about your results as much as you do (unless you’ve got a good coach.. hey @coachtencate 😘).
