You’ll probably have to flip back and forth between the before and after photos to notice all of the differences. This timber frame is still very much a timber frame, but the makeover made for a lot of changes. Photographer Susan Teare @susanteare points out that the home was much more closed-in the house felt before the timber frame was modified and the windows were replaced. Keep looking. The original horizontal beams of the timber frame were of the typical style for this traditional construction method, but the new diagonal beams create a higher, perceived ceiling.
