Looking for a fat loss approach that is actually enjoyable and sustainable...
HOW TO COMBINE INTERMITTENT FASTING AND KETO by @charliedieselfitness
Here's the best method to combine Intermittent Fasting with the Ketogenic Lifestyle so that you actually enjoy your fat loss journey instead of seeing it as a burden. You'll feel so energized that you might spontaneously start chopping logs of wood in the backyard Captain America style
Here's how it works
Wake up early. Get 7.5 hours of sleep
LIFT HEAVY THINGS
Focus on your compound lifts. Progressive overload resistance training is going to allow you to build more muscle which will require more fat to be burnt.
FASTED HIIT CARDIO
Doing your cardio in a fasted state will allow you to take advantage of your body already being in fat burning mode and maximize your fat loss. By doing HIIT cardio you utilize EPOC (Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption) which puts your fat burning into overdrive for 24 hours
Drink caffeine to help you stay fasted but don't over do it
With a smaller meal that has NO CARBS, only fats and proteins. This won't spike your insulin and allow you to stay in fat burning mode longer.
Have a bigger meal that has NO CARBS. This will allow you to have high energy levels and prevent the dreaded itis
Have your biggest meal that has ALL YOUR NET CARBS for the day. This will allow you to enjoy big tasty meals. A personal favorite of mine is Quest cookies :)
By eating the carbs later in the day you push back the feelings of tiredness you're going to get while in Ketosis and eating carbs. Eating them at night a few hours before you regularly go to bed will get you ready to fall asleep and keep your energy high during the day

Hey team! Let’s talk fasting. 🍽
Intermittent fasting is a blanket term that can take many forms. It can mean skipping early breakfasts and eating an earlier dinner (my favorite way to practice), or it can mean monthly consecutive low calorie days deliberately and cautiously calibrated to prevent malnutrition (such as the fasting mimicking diet).
None of these diets are “magic” but they do seem to make a lot of health sense from a physiology standpoint. Swipe right to see a nice little graph of the potential mechanisms and benefits of time-restricted feeding (source: Panda, et al.). Many of these benefits have been demonstrated in rodents, and time will tell for humans (hence my heavy usage of the word “may” in the image). But one thing I am almost sure of: eating around the clock like is typical in modern Western society is disordered from a circadian standpoint. —
You can listen to two podcasts that I’ve recorded on this topic, with two leading researchers in the field. One is with Valter Longo at USC, and the other is with Satchin Panda at The Salk Institute. —
To listen to these episodes go to where you listen to podcasts and search “THE GENIUS LIFE”. 🎧
Finally, everyone is different. If you are prone to disordered eating or hormonal issues, or any kind of medical issue, I would advise against jumping into this without checking with your doctor first.
Have you experimented with IF? Is it helpful? Or not really? Let me know! 👍🏼👇🏼
Hard work and determination, that's all you need!
From that first photo in may, to the second in September to now in December, I feel like my body changes daily!
I haven't had a change in the scales for a while, although I am down 74lbs in total.
After Christmas I'm going to focus on building some lean muscle and I'm so excited to see how my body changes.
Don't rely on that sad step (scales) take photos, you'll see your true progress there!
Cleaning up the photos on my computer and found a new before...probably one of the few full body pictures ever taken of me! This is at 35 weeks pregnant with my girl..I went to 42 + 2 weeks and left the hospital at 385lbs 🙈. .
It has been quite the journey since then, but I wouldnt trade one minute of it. Every experience we go through, every struggle, every triumph in life, shapes us into the person we are today..and I'm pretty in love with who I've become (I mean that in the most modest way possible 😂).
Keep your head up and keep fighting for what you want, I know it is in you, you just have to believe it too 😘

Oil pulling can reverse cavities, whiten teeth and even pull infections out of your throat! Comfrey can reverse tooth decay. Always do your research before introducing anything new into your body 😊
Fitness day 🏋🏼♀️
Have you ever looked in the mirror and been so unhappy with what you saw and wondered how you let yourself get to this point? I’ve been there many times in my life but I never did anything about it until recently. If you want to loose weight or see a change in your life you can’t just sit on your ass and expect it to magically happen! You have to put in the time and work and invest in yourself. It’s not something that happens over night and it’s sure as hell not easy. You have to push yourself, motivate yourself and remember to not give up on yourself, but I promise you it’s so fucking worth it 💗
